Hi, I'm fairly new to the game and understand the basics. I'm just confused about one thing. Lets say I go to war. I know the enemy has around 500 DP. I send my troops, amounting to around 2,600 AP. I lose around 20 of each troop, every time, and I am finding myself losing lots of combat points. But for the army I'm attacking, they lose about 13 troops in total, and gain combat points. I know the loss of troops affects combat points, but since I'm sending in such a large attack compared to their defense, I'm confused why I'm losing so many troops, and they aren't. Maybe I'm missing something tho idk

You should aim to send the minimum amount of troops you can while still winning. If your enemy has 500DP, the optimal amount to send would be 501AP. If you are going by the estimate, then you probably have to have a bit of a buffer and send 700DP, for example.

Back in the day the game had no real limit on attacking, so sending extra troops doing extra damage would have ruined the balance of the game. Perhaps with the current limitations on how often you can attack, one might want to consider re-calculating how troop losses/land gains are calculated, but that is a tangent.
